The 12 skills
Claude and ChatGPT skills for LinkedIn
Each skill is a slash command. Without PostZen, it writes and you post the result yourself. Connecting PostZen adds publishing to the skills that produce posts. The rest stay paste-based; PostZen does not read LinkedIn comments, messages or analytics.
- /li-post
Write a post
Turns one idea into a post: picks three hooks from 21 hook formulas, drafts the strongest in your voice, and runs it through the humanizer before you see it.
With PostZen: Hands the finished post to /li-publish.

Setup guide
Set it up in five steps
Install the skills, sign in to PostZen, connect LinkedIn, fill in your voice file, then publish your first post. The full setup runs in Claude Code or Codex.
- 1
Install the skills
Choose one of the three routes below. The paste prompt works in Claude Code and Codex; the manual and plugin routes are for Claude Code.
Paste this prompt into Claude Code or Codex. The agent installs the skills and registers the PostZen MCP server.

- 2
Sign in to PostZen
In Claude Code, run /mcp, select postzen and choose Authenticate. In Codex, run codex mcp login postzen. Then PostZen opens in your browser: sign in and choose Read & Write so the agent can publish.

Connect your LinkedIn profile
Say "connect my LinkedIn" and /li-publish asks PostZen for a connect link. Open it and approve on LinkedIn. It connects your personal profile; company pages are not supported.
Connect your LinkedIn profileconnect my LinkedIn
- The page that opens is LinkedIn’s own login. Claude never sees your password.
- The connect link is good for 10 minutes. If it expires, ask for a new one.
- No browser automation and no scraping. Posting goes through PostZen’s approved partner app and LinkedIn’s official API.
- 4
Fill in your voice file
Every writing skill reads ~/.linkedin-agent/voice.md before drafting. Copy templates/voice.md there and spend about ten minutes filling it in, or paste three of your own posts and say "write my voice.md from these". Skip it and everything comes out sounding like everyone else.

Publish your first post
Give /li-post one specific thing that happened: a number, a mistake, a client call. It shows three hooks, drafts the strongest, and runs it through /li-human. Say yes and /li-publish shows the exact text, account, visibility and time, waits for your approval, publishes, then reads the post status back to confirm it went live.
- /li-publish shows the exact text, account, visibility and time before anything is posted
- Ask for a draft, a scheduled time or the queue instead of publishing now

What to say to your agent
Use the slash commands or describe what you need in plain language. These are the kinds of requests the skills are built for.
Write a LinkedIn post about the internal tool that cut our proposal time from 5 hours to 20 minutes. Show me three hooks before you draft.
Here’s a post from someone in my field. Give me two comment options of different types and tell me which one to post.
Write my voice.md from these three posts, then rewrite yesterday’s draft in that voice.
Humanize this draft, show me every change, and give me the before and after scores.
Turn these six steps into a carousel and schedule it as a document post for Tuesday at 8:15am Eastern.
Turn this podcast transcript into a week of posts, show me the schedule, and queue them once I approve.
Frequently asked questions
Still have questions?
Is the LinkedIn agent skill free?
The skills are. All 12 are open source under the MIT license, and PostZen’s free plan costs $0, covers 2 connected social accounts and 20 posts a month, and needs no credit card. What you bring is your own Claude or Codex access; the skills run inside whichever one you already use.
Will it post to LinkedIn without asking me?
No. Nothing gets posted until you say yes. Every write goes through /li-publish, which shows the exact text, account, visibility and time first and waits for an explicit yes to that block. A "looks good" about an earlier draft doesn’t count. After publishing, it reads the post status back to verify the post went live, because a success message on its own doesn’t prove that.
Can it post to my company page?
No. PostZen connects your personal LinkedIn profile and publishes there. Company pages are not supported, and the skills will tell you so rather than try a workaround. When you connect, there is no page picker, only your own profile.
Can it read my comments, inbox or analytics?
No. PostZen does not read LinkedIn comments, the inbox, DMs or analytics, and it does not post first comments. /li-reply, /li-inbox and /li-audit work from what you paste in: the comments under your post, your messages, or the analytics export from LinkedIn. They sort, score and draft; you post the replies yourself. Publishing and scheduling to your profile is what PostZen does.
What can it publish?
Text posts up to 3,000 characters, up to 10 images with alt text on each, one MP4 video, or one PDF as a document post (the carousel format). You can set visibility to anyone or connections only, give a document or video a title, reshare a post with your text on top, or turn the link card off. It can publish now, schedule a time, queue into the next free slot or save a draft. Not on this route: tagging people, polls, articles, newsletters, first comments, and editing a post after it is live.
Do I need Claude Code, or does the Claude app work?
Claude Code (or Codex) gets the full setup: all 12 skills installed, the two Python scripts behind /li-human, and the PostZen MCP server. The Claude app cannot install skills from a chat, so it gets a lighter path. Add PostZen as a custom connector (Settings, then Connectors, then Add custom connector, URL https://mcp.postzen.dev/mcp, Connect, and pick Read & Write on the PostZen page), then paste a single SKILL.md at the top of a chat to use that skill as a mode. You lose the Python scripts, which are most of the humanizer, but the writing works and publishing still waits for your approval.
Does it work with Codex or ChatGPT?
Codex is supported: paste the install prompt and sign in to PostZen with codex mcp login postzen. ChatGPT is not a tested route. What you can do there is paste a single SKILL.md at the top of a chat and use that skill as a writing mode, without the Python scripts and without publishing.
Do I need PostZen to use the Claude LinkedIn skills?
Not for writing. Every skill produces copy you can post yourself, and that is how the pack worked before PostZen was part of it. PostZen is required for anything that touches your profile: publishing, scheduling, queueing and saving drafts through /li-publish.
Is this safe? Does it use LinkedIn’s official API?
Yes. PostZen is an approved LinkedIn partner and holds the tokens and the approval, so Claude posts through LinkedIn’s official API. There is no browser automation and no scraping, which LinkedIn’s User Agreement prohibits; the skills refuse to drive the LinkedIn site even when asked. PostZen generates the connect link, the page it opens is LinkedIn’s own login, and Claude never sees your password.
What does the humanizer actually do?
Two Python scripts with no dependencies. humanize.py removes invisible watermark characters (17 classes of them), turns em dashes into commas and curly quotes straight, and swaps 113 stock words and phrases for plain English. detect.py scores the result 0 to 100 on five checks: burstiness, specificity, slop density, fingerprint and voice. These are local heuristics modelled on what public detectors look for. They are not GPTZero, Originality or Turnitin, they don’t call those services, and nobody can honestly promise "undetectable". Everything runs on your machine; nothing is uploaded.
What does PostZen cost?
The Free plan is $0: 2 connected social accounts, 20 posts a month, no credit card. Paid plans start at $29 a month with Starter, which covers 5 accounts and unlimited posts. Your Claude or Codex subscription is separate and billed by its own provider.
What is a LinkedIn AI agent, and is this one?
A LinkedIn AI agent is a model that takes actions on an account. On their own, these skills prepare content for you. With PostZen connected they act on your profile as well: publishing, scheduling and queueing posts through LinkedIn’s official API. Comments, inbox and analytics are not supported. Every publish still waits for your approval.
